Ready for something new? Check out this graphic novel based on the New Testament!
"A wild prophet appears in the desert announcing the coming of God’s chosen one.  He recognizes that God has come among humanity in human flesh in the person of Jesus, his own distant cousin. As both John and Jesus work to bring God’s true kingdom to a corrupt world, they battle both earthly and demonic powers. But resisting the temptation for power and staying faithful to God can prove costly - even to death."

"I really liked this book because it was easy to understand. Instead of reading words, it's explained through pictures, which can make the Bible easier. It also is very interesting." -Erin, age 12

More Audio Prayer

Here are more examples of prayer you can listen to:
  • Paul's prayer in Ephesians 6:18-20. Use this to pray for yourself and your friends by name.
  • Jesus gives us a pattern for prayer in Matthew 6:9-13.
  • The Psalms are prayer- Here are just two examples: Psalm 63, Psalm 108:1-6.

Prayer is often scattered through the biblical writings. Here are some examples of ways you can pray for one another taken from the writings of Paul: Pray...
  • That the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored. (2 Thess. 3:1)
  • That the word of the Lord be glorified among you and your friends.
  • That you will be rescued from malicious people who would destroy your effectiveness.
  • That when you open your lips, you'd speak fearlessly about the truth of the gospel. (Eph.6:19)
  • That whatever you do in your life be done for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ and for the love of the Spirit.
  • That the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. (2 Thess.3:16).
  • That you may know His hope, His riches, and His power (Eph.1:18).
  • That you are able to get the necessary rest and mental/spiritual input that your body and mind needs to do the job God has for you to do.
  • That you be made steadfast and be guarded from the evil one by a faithful God.
  • That your hearts be directed into the love of God. (2 Thess.3:5)
  • That you develop the patience of Christ.
  • That you be rooted and grounded in love. (Eph.3:17,18)
  • That you may know fully the all-surpassing love of Christ!

Intimacy with Christ

God gives us many different word pictures to show us what a relationship with Him is like. Consider some of these examples from Scripture: God is our King, Liberator, Savior, Counselor, Lord, Provider, Father, Teacher,
Shepherd, Creator, Friend.... What does that make you? In Him you are a member of the royal family, rescued, healed emotionally, a follower, provided for, a son or daughter, a student of the wisest teacher, sheep, a work of art, a friend of God!

Did God Really Say That?

6/14/2012

In future videos I'd like to take a Bible verse or passage that has been misinterpreted, and show through a short inductive bible study demo what God is actually saying there. For example, Mark 16:15- "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them"... meaning that Christians should drink poison and hold rattlesnakes to demonstrate God's power. Did God really say that?
What are some other topics we should take a look at?

Looking for good examples of Christian Websites

6/13/2012

One recent study found that there are 35 million 'religious surfers' in the U.S. Yet churches are 'laggards' (meaning dead last) in terms of creating an online interactive environment. I've found lots of bad examples of Christian websites out there. And a few good ones. Is the Body of Christ missing out on an opportunity to be a compelling online witness? What do you think?
