The Audio Devotional Team
Dave Ruark - voice & writer
Dave has over 20 years of ministry experience with InterVarsity. He is currently in New York City leading a major campaign on 10 university campuses that brings the proclamation of the Gospel together with fighting human trafficking and modern day slavery (The Price of Life) Dave lives with his wife Julie and their two children in Queens, New York. Most days he commutes to the InterVarsity offices in Manhattan on the #7 subway line (though as a special treat he sometimes takes the Long Island Railroad) and is grateful for podcasts and guided meditations on scripture to listen to while on the train. Dave has been a long time practitioner of Biblical meditation and he created the Audio Devotional to "try to capture what is going on in my head when I meditate on scripture".
Joshua Barton - musician
Joshua Barton, of Fields of Industry, provides the music for The Audio Devotional Volumes I & II. Joshua is a regular worship leader at Blacksoil Church in Lansing, Michigan. He also leads the worship band Brother Barton's Traveling Salvation Show. Joshua is excited by how Volumes I & II have turned out. "I don't think I've ever been more satisfied musically than I am with this project."
Jeremy Dowsett - writer
Jeremy Dowsett is a church planter and pastor of Blacksoil Church in Lansing, Michigan where experiences like those found on the Audio Devotional have been occasionally incorporated into worship services. Jeremy experiences the presence of God as he studies the Bible and it is his hope that these guided Christian meditations on scripture will help others to realize the presence of God in their lives.
